We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Supervisor to join our dedicated team at Oakhill Church School & Nursery. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality integrated childcare and early education for children aged 2-4, and in supporting our before and after school club provision.
As a key member of the Nursery Leadership Team, you will work closely with the Nursery Lead and to lead and support staff, ensure the safety and wellbeing of children, and maintain a stimulating learning environment that meets Ofsted standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead nursery operations in the absence of the Nursery Lead.
Support and mentor Early Years Practitioners and Assistants
Plan and deliver engaging activities based on the EYFS framework
Monitor and evaluate the quality of provision and children's progress
Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and safeguarding
Build strong relationships with children, families, and external professionals
Maintain and analyse cohort data.
Support the induction of new staff and contribute to ongoing professional development
Person Specification
Essential:
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years
Minimum 3 years' experience in a nursery setting
Experience leading a team
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, EYFS, and Ofsted requirements
Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
Passionate, caring, and committed to high standards
Desirable:
Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, DSL qualification
Experience supporting children with diverse needs
