With a strong track record spanning several decades, this company is known for designing and building complex automated systems from concept through to delivery--all from their dedicated facility in the East Midlands.
The Role
Due to continued business growth and a healthy pipeline of new projects, our client is seeking a Controls Engineering Manager with expertise in electrical systems and mechatronics. This is a senior technical role, offering the chance to shape innovative engineering solutions and contribute to the successful delivery of highly customised systems.
Responsibilities
Electrical design of control panels and automation systems
Oversight of system assembly, integration, and functional testing
Involvement with robotics, motion control, conveyors, and other automation technologies
Collaboration with design and manufacturing teams to ensure project quality and performance
Providing technical support to customer service and commercial teams
Ensuring compliance with internal standards and ISO9001 procedures
Requirements
Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering
Proven experience in electrical control systems and custom machinery
Competence in PC-based electrical design software
Hands-on experience designing and supervising the build of assembly/test systems
Understanding of special-purpose equipment and engineering documentation standards
