Our Construction Academies here at Learning Curve Group are formed of 3 Academies specialising in Trades which include Plumbing, Electrical, Bricklaying, Plastering, Carpentry & Joinery and Painting & Decorating. Our offering of provision in these areas vary from Short & Long Courses to Apprenticeships and Study Programmes where our learners will receive experience of trading within a fully working workshop
About the Role
As the Lead Tutor, you will support the day-to-day operational delivery within the academy, ensuring the quality of education remains at the heart of what we do. The role requires wearing many hats as you will also support other aspects to ensure the academy's success, such as quality and commercial activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the Academy Manager, manage and monitor the Plumbing Team's performance to maintain high standards of professionalism and quality, using agreed KPIs.
Develop and line manage the Plumbing Team to ensure the provision is fully staffed and maintained to a high standard - liaising with the Talent Team for any new recruits.
Ensure that all Tutors/Assessors maintain their CPD requirements in line with Awarding Body guidelines.
Work closely with the Academy Manager and Quality team to develop plans to drive improvements in learner attendance, retention, and achievement.
Produce regular reports on team performance and learner progress.
Support the Functional Skills team in managing the functional skills scheduling.
Contribute to the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and ensure its actions are delivered.
Ensure cost-effectiveness with budget monitoring and management.
Sales:
Support the Sales Team with employer engagement activities and recruitment of learners.
Manage the Learner Voice process and implement necessary changes based on feedback.
Provide learners with support, advice, and guidance throughout their learning experience.
Safeguarding and Prevent:
Perform Designated Safeguarding Officer duties and ensure staff are aware of their safeguarding responsibilities.
Support the development of safeguarding policies, training, and procedures.
Encourage good practice by promoting and championing the LCG Safeguarding policy and procedures.
Quality & Compliance:
Work with the Quality team to monitor and manage academy provision, including performance management and audit compliance.
Support the Lead IQA with standardisation and quality assurance checks.
Generic Deliverables:
Produce ad hoc reports as required.
Maintain own CPD.
Comply with Health and Safety, IT, Data Protection, and Information Security policies.

Recognised Teaching Qualification (or willing to work towards) (Level 3 Award in Education & Training, PGCE, Cert ED etc)
