Lead Engineer

Job Description

To develop a new portfolio of composite products or metal products in support of a growing customer demand for innovative, technically advanced components. We are looking for someone who brings a high degree of technical understanding, therefore, an engineering degree is essential, as is demonstrable industrial experience (ideally Technology, Aerospace, Automotive or Motorsport) and team leading experience. Responsibilities





Provide leadership on assigned projects to ensure financial and contractual execution through established company procedures Deliver professional, high quality results to customers (internal and external) Support project proposal development including scope definition, configuration, implementation, tracking and control of projects Estimate budgets and be accountable for tracking costs of projects and for meeting project budget targets Work with the Business Unit Director to lead the engineering plan and gain formal acceptance Lead project teams including coaching and technical direction to meet project deliverables Work closely with other disciplines including Supply Chain & Manufacturing Provide regular updates to project stakeholders Take responsibility for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of process effectiveness and efficiency within the team

Personal Characteristics/Qualifications





Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience High degree of technical understanding Proven experience in technical project management or project leadership positions Proven ability to achieve business' targets Able to interface effectively at all levels of the organisation and customers Resilient & persistent under all circumstances Commercially astute Must have aptitude for learning new technology, techniques, methods and principles Practical knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Display confidence in a fast-paced work environment Display energy, passion & enthusiasm to drive change Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to drive projects to completion * CAD SolidWorks (preferable) and/or Catia experience solid model, assembly and manufacturing drawing creation.
