Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and reliable

Lead Engineer

to join our team in a hybrid role that combines hands-on installation and servicing with elements of project and service management. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality work across fire alarm, CCTV, intruder alarm, and access control systems, while also supporting the planning and coordination of projects and service tasks.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, maintain, and fault-find on fire and security systems including: Fire alarms (conventional and addressable) CCTV (IP and analogue) Intruder alarms Access control systems Lead small projects or workstreams, ensuring jobs are completed on time and to a high standard Support project planning, including site surveys, material take-offs, and liaising with clients Assist with scheduling and coordination of works, including oversight of apprentices or subcontractors Complete all required paperwork, documentation, and certifications Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g. BS5839, PD6662) and health & safety procedures

Requirements

Proven experience in fire and/or security systems Strong fault-finding and technical diagnostic skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics ECS/CSCS card Full UK driving licence Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: 42,000.00-47,000.00 per year
