We are seeking a Lead Engineer with proven experience across the full project lifecycle from feasibility assessment to energisation and operations. This role will be the technical lead for our UK solar PV and BESS projects, as well as support our EMEA portfolio.



Responsibilities





AcquisitionsProvide technical input for potential acquisitions during the due diligence and investment appraisal process


ProcurementLead development of Employer's Requirements prior to market release of the Request for Proposal Lead technical workstreams across the tendering phase by reviewing Contractor / Supplier proposals, raising clarifications and achieving an optimised solution whilst ensuring alignment to the Employer's Requirements Provide technical input to support the down selection process and final negotiations to execute construction contracts


DeliveryProvide technical support to the Project Manager throughout the design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases to ensure a timely, cost-effective and quality execution of the project. Lead the Contractor / Supplier design and technical output review process alongside internal technical teams and appointed Owner's Engineer. Ensure the Contractor / Supplier design complies with the Employer's Requirements and meets regulatory and industry standards whilst monitoring deviations and value engineering opportunities. Efficiently manage the Owner's Engineer scope and ensure quality of output to maximise project success. Lead the Distribution / Transmission System Operator interface to drive forwards the programme of works through to operations and ensure alignment with the Contractor. Support the Contractor during the commissioning and energisation process to integrate the Route to Market Provider and ensure compliance with key contracted revenue agreements

Asset ManagementProvide technical support to the Asset Manager to monitor and optimise long-term asset performance and availability. Conduct site visit investigations and root cause analysis to understand critical failures and propose mitigations and reactive maintenance plans.


Education & Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field. Chartership certification is desirable. Health and Safety accreditations are desirable. Full UK Driving License.

Experience & Personal Skills

5+ years in experience in renewable energy sector ideally in solar PV and BESS projects Proven experience across due diligence, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and optimisation of renewable energy projects. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, technology / solution providers and grid connections Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements / processes for renewable energy projects. Strong organisational skills with a track record of successful project delivery. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
