National Grid is hiring a Lead EPC Project Manager for our Infrastructure Delivery Team based in Leeds.
About the role
We are looking for Lead EPC Project Manager with a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) qualification. The key responsibilities in this role are to develop, sanction, deliver and close several connection investments to time, cost and specification in accordance with the Network Development Process. Ensuring health, safety and environmental issues are managed throughout the process and projects deliver the business' regulatory stakeholder and customer commitments.

What you'll do
This is a lead project management role responsible for the delivery of complex high value projects. You will be able to demonstrate significant experience in project development and delivery of schemes safely on time and to budget
As an experienced Project Manager you will support and mentor the wider team to develop capability and ensure resilience, including undertaking additional duties as delegated by the Senior Project Manager
You will lead the investment process during pre-construction, delivery and closure for several projects (generally those which are considered more complex)
Be responsible for various trigger points in respect of the Quality of Connections Incentive, which will generate customer feedback. Once received, taking direct ownership for acting on that feedback
Undertake the required site and condition assessments, and support the consenting, type registration, cost estimation, programme risk mitigation and innovation activities to enable the delivery vehicle to implement the solution on site
You will monitor and control the investment throughout the process providing regular project monthly status reports including: SHE performance, milestone progress, risk management and competent, accurate and timely financial forecasting information to support regulatory reporting, and business and capital planning
What you'll need
A CEng qualification or equivalent
Strong Project Management skills including management of risk for delivery of projects to scope, time, cost, quality, safety and security of supply
Proficient technical knowledge of the Electricity Transmission System
Understanding of RIIO mechanisms
Influencing and negotiation skills
Stakeholder management experience
Proficient understanding and experience of Safety and Environmental legislation, practices and policies
Full UK driving licence is essential
What you'll get
Salary of up to 70,000 per annum dependant on experience plus a 4,500.00 market supplement
Hybrid working model between Home, Site and Office
