Job Description

We are looking for qualified female counsellors with experience in leading groups to facilitate our weekly therapeutic groups across Sussex, subject to funding.

The successful candidate will join a highly regarded women-led, women-centred, and trauma-informed charity.

Tasks



To lead the delivery of a range of therapeutic groups and workshops for the charity

To undertake participant assessments in the lead-up to the groups and workshops commencing

To ensure the groups and workshops run in a safe and supportive manner

To manage the Support Facilitators during the delivery of the groups and workshops

To undertake monitoring and evaluation of the groups and workshops

To be able to commit to the duration of the delivery of the groups and workshops

To liaise with partner organisations and referral partners relating to the groups and workshops

To maintain confidential files and adhere to the highest levels of confidentiality

To attend line management meetings and regular clinical supervision as required

To ensure the work adheres to the highest safeguarding and child protection standards

To demonstrate a commitment to equality of opportunity for all

Requirements



A recognised diploma or degree in counselling/ psychotherapy/ psychology/ or equivalent

Experience leading on safeguarding and health and safety within a group setting

Qualification or training in groupwork (desirable)

Currently in clinical practice

Extensive experience in leading mental health therapeutic groups

Experience of working within a trauma-informed approach

BACP/UKCP/equivalent registered

Working within voluntary sector agencies (desirable)

Comprehensive understanding of the complex physical, mental and emotional impacts on maternal and perimenopausal mental health

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload

Self-motivated and able to take initiative

Ability to work as part of a team

A commitment to improving the lives of women experiencing mental ill health

Clear boundaries around confidential working practices

Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion

Commitment to the highest levels of good safeguarding practice

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: 49.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 4 per week

Work Location: In person
