National Plan for Music Education for England
(The Power of Music to Change Lives 2022 DFE). We work from within the Directorate for the benefit of all young people in Oxfordshire.
It has long been recognised that Music has a profound impact on the wellbeing of young people and on their outcomes. OCMS has a strong team of committed teachers who have been developing Music for Wellbeing as a distinct strand of work, particularly with those pupils who are struggling to engage with education.
We believe this is a great time to build on the current successes, and to recognise and develop Music for Health and Wellbeing as a positive contributor not just to the musical development of pupils, but to their overall educational engagement and achievements.

You will oversee the Music for Wellbeing and Early Years teams, liaise with school leaders and SENCO teams, and develop intervention programs aligned with the OCC vision for Alternative Education Provision
About you
You will be a qualified Music Therapist, HCPC registered, with a strong track record of developing and implementing strategies for Music and Wellbeing for Young People.
