Lead Game Designer Console/pc Title 100% Remote (from The Uk)

Liverpool, United Kingdom

Job Description

Lead Game Designer - Console/PC Title - 100% Remote (From the UK)

A Liverpool based games studio is currently looking for a Lead Game Designer to work on a new PC/Console title. They are currently going through a period of expansion and require this Lead Game Designer to help manage and mentor a small team of Designers, whilst getting involved with designing the new game.

As the Lead Game Designer, you will be outlining new ideas for the games, such as prototyping, mechanic design, core game design and interactive narration for the users - you must also bring FUN to the games! You will be up to date with present trends and enjoy playing and making games.

This role will promote freedom in your work style and will allow you to be creative with your design - the design is at the heart of all their games so it\'s important to understand the overall experience of playing the game, rather than focusing solely on the mechanics.

As a key member of the team, you will also get involved with core design principles and be able to implement new ideas on large-scale projects. You\'ll also help recruit, mentor and develop designers for the team as well. We\'re looking for a good design generalist, someone who enjoys working on different aspects of design, such as progression, mechanics, combat and player movement.

There is a competitive salary on offer, including exclusive studio benefits, flexible working hours, pension, bonus, private medical + dental + optical insurance, supplied equipment and parking permits if needed.

This role can be 100% remote working (indefinitely), or hybrid working.

You must be based in the UK at present or eligible to work in the UK already to apply for the role.
