Role Overview



We are seeking a

Lead Hardware Development Engineer

with a minimum of

five years' professional experience

in hardware design and development. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys variety and problem-solving, with the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle -- from concept to production -- on projects that span audio systems, RF devices, power electronics, digital systems, and more.

You'll collaborate closely with colleagues from other disciplines and, on occasion, interface directly with clients to understand and deliver their requirements.

Key Responsibilities



Design and development of analogue and digital electronic circuits Power supply design, including low and medium power systems Audio and Video system design RF circuit and system design (sub-GHz and/or GHz ranges) PCB schematic capture and layout Design for high-volume manufacturing at our parent company Tioga Limited (DFM/DFT considerations) Technical collaboration in a small, multi-skilled engineering team Participation in design reviews, system architecture discussions, and documentation Occasional customer-facing work: requirement capture, technical meetings, design feedback

Essential Skills and Experience



Minimum 5 years' industry experience in hardware development Strong background in:

Analogue hardware design

Digital hardware design

Audio design

Power supply design

RF design

PCB design

Design for high-volume manufacture

Experience working in small, cross-functional teams

Desirable Skills



FPGA design (preferably

Altera

) Knowledge of hardware simulation packages; SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, Tina-Ti, Lt-Spice Analogue and digital Video circuit design PCB design using

Altium Designer

and/or

EAGLE

Experience interpreting and translating customer requirements into technical solutions Comfortable engaging directly with clients in technical discussions
