We're looking for a hands?on

Lead Installer / Site Lead

to run day?to?day delivery on occupied domestic retrofit projects--primarily

internal wall insulation (IWI)

, with additional

external wall insulation (EWI)

,

floor insulation

and

room?in?roof

works. You'll lead a small team, coordinate trades, uphold health & safety, and ensure high?quality, moisture?safe detailing that aligns with the UK retrofit framework (

PAS 2035 / PAS 2030

).

What you'll do

Lead site delivery

of IWI systems end?to?end: strip?out, substrate prep, framing/lining, insulation install, airtightness and VCLs, boarding/plastering, reveals and finishing, snagging and handover.

Install other measures

as required: EWI systems, floor insulation (suspended and solid), and room?in?roof insulation--sequenced safely with other trades and services.

Coordinate and brief a small site team

(2-6 people): allocate tasks, set pace, run daily briefings/toolbox talks, and oversee quality assurance photos and checklists.

Deliver moisture?robust, thermally continuous details

that minimise thermal bridging and eliminate thermal bypass (e.g., at meter boxes, joist ends, reveals and junctions) in line with PAS guidance.

Own site H&S

: RAMS, permits, inductions, plant checks, housekeeping, and incident reporting.

Liaise with homeowners and the retrofit team

(Assessor/Designer/Coordinator) to keep works compliant with the

PAS 2035

process and document non?conformances where needed.

Plan materials and logistics

: call?off, deliveries, waste management and scaffold/tower use, keeping programmes on track.

Work to system specifications

(e.g.,

) and manufacturer details where applicable.

What you'll bring

Proven experience

as a builder/installer delivering

IWI

(essential), plus exposure to

EWI, floor insulation and room?in?roof

(desirable).

Leadership on live sites

: allocating labour, coordinating subbies, and solving problems fast without compromising quality.

Strong insulation detailing

: airtightness taping, VCLs, reveals, joist?end risk management, thermal?bridge mitigation and moisture?aware sequencing--aligned to

PAS 2030/2035

System knowledge

: familiarity with one or more of

Wetherby

insulated render systems, or willingness to train.

Documentation discipline

: QA photos, checklists, red?line drawings, and tidy, legible site records supporting retrofit evaluation and handover. (Awareness of building performance evaluation is a plus.)
