We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Intelligence Specialists at the NATO Intelligence Fusion Centre, Royal Air Force (RAF) Molesworth, United Kingdom.

What will be your primary role?



The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Senior Watch Officer, providing operational leadership for intelligence watch activities at the NATO Intelligence Fusion Centre (NIFC). You will function as the Team Leader for the NIFC Watch, ensuring continuous situational awareness, intelligence fusion, and crisis monitoring in support of NATO Allied Command Operations (ACO). You will oversee the coordination, refinement, and delivery of intelligence briefings to ensure NATO leadership receive timely, relevant, and strategically aligned assessments. You will oversee the execution of intelligence tracking, briefing coordination, and crisis response and will act as the primary operational lead for crisis response, ensuring rapid and coordinated intelligence support during critical incidents. In Addition, you will support senior intelligence leadership by coordinating operational plans and team priorities to sustain mission continuity and support leadership in rostered shift planning and coordination of on-boarding and continued training efforts.

What are the Key Skills required for this role?



1. Knowledge of intelligence collection, production, and dissemination principles.

2. Proficiency in written and oral communication, ensuring effective intelligence reporting and coordination.

3. Understanding of intelligence analysis methodologies, supporting decision-making and situational awareness.

4. Experience in team coordination and task execution, ensuring watch operations run smoothly.

5. Ability to work within intelligence networks, maintaining situational awareness and operational coordination.

6. Competence in preparing intelligence briefings and reports, ensuring clarity and relevance for leadership.

7. Familiarity with data processing systems, supporting information organization and workflow efficiency.

8. Ability to provide operational guidance and functional leadership, foster team cohesion and responsiveness.

What are the conditions of employment for this role?



You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent. Hours of work: 72 hours bi-weekly (shift work to include weekends and evenings between 0000-2359). Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization's flexible working policies. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. A degree in Political Science, International Relations, Security Studies, or a related discipline, or UK equivalent, is desired but not required. You must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance required of the position. This position requires a NATO SECRET clearance. You may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, as rostered. You will observe US holidays in lieu of UK holidays. This is a Mission Essential position, needed to ensure the continued operation of mission essential functions of the activity. Mission Essential personnel may be required to report for duty at normal times when the base is closed or delayed reporting and remain on duty during phased or early release. The Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) Program does not participate in regular drug testing; however, positions covered by this document may be subject to drug testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse, and safety mishap or accident testing.
