The Lead Logistics Specialist supports the Logistics Shift Manager in delivering the operational goals and objectives for the shift and maintains quality of service and finished product integrity.
Job Responsibilities:
Able to be flexible and able to work in different area of the supply chain and become multi-skilled as an "all-rounder" This sometimes at short notice and without change to your working pattern or hours of employment.
To ensure that Process and Systems Compliance are adhered to and followed/attained for all actions, taking full accountability for delivering performance.
Corrective action, as highlighted by performance reporting is implemented on time and to specification as advised by shift managers.
Is an enthusiastic, positive, self-motivated and pro-active team player, committed to successfully achieving the goals and objectives of themselves, the team and the Company.
Remains willing and prepared to support and help fellow team members, as well as prepared to accept and adopt new challenges and changes in operations.
Strictly adheres to the Health and Safety policy and regulation across the business.
Ensures that all other company and departmental regulations and guidelines are rigorously adhered to at all times by all team members.
Ensure the efficient and accurate handover/receipt of finished product from the Production Team.
Ensure for the timely, accurate and efficient "pick" of finished product matching our customers' needs and deadlines.
Ensure for the timely, accurate and efficient loading of finished product matching our customers' needs and deadlines
Ensure the timely and accurate provision of documentation in relation to our dis-patched product.
Prepared for the effective use of Information technology in support of the above when required
Ensure all product is to specification including the recording of temperature reporting all non-conforming product to shift manager
Follow and uphold the company policies, procedures, and activities in place necessary to maintain the safety, quality, authenticity, and legality of the finished products manufactured and distributed for sale.
Administration/Visibility/Traceability
Ensure for the effective and accurate documentation within the relative activity.
Ensure for the accurate and efficient use of information technology and data bases where appropriate.
With the help of the Engineering department maintain temperature regimes and records.
With the help of the Health & Safety department maintain temperature regimes and records.
With the help of the technical department maintain temperature regimes and records.
Accurate and timely customer service reporting.
To ensure you understand your initial tasks and subsequent tasks during your working period
As directed and or scheduled to ensure the right items (i.e.: SKUs, bye products or finished product) is: The right item in, the right place, at the right time, in the right condition and is rightly recorded
To liaise with your manager or heads of to ensure the designated activities are completed "on time and in full".
To liaise with your colleagues whenever required and work in teams if necessary to achieve the stated aim.
To complete designated documentation on a daily basis accurately legibly and is identifiable as your individual work thus providing traceability.
To ensure issues are dealt with in a timely and safe manner
To notify and highlight any errors, anomalies or safety issues.
To ensure and record safe use of and mechanical handling equipment notifying any safety issues to your line manager that would prevent the safe use of such equipment.
To use equipment and/or technology as may be required.
Communication:
To ensure the Shift Manager(s) are kept updated at all times and report any issues which could impact upon SKU or finished product flow.
To ensure you fully understand your shift managers briefing before the shift begins.
To assist in the proper takeover/handover between shifts
To enhance positive working relationships with all other departments.
Admin/Expectations:
To undertake project work as directed by your manager(s) and ensure that the project is completed, and the outcome is reported back
To partake in performance appraisals
To actively develop your skills and competence in support of the business needs
To act and respond to instructions in a timely manner
To ensure that you always adhere to all company policies and procedures

Job requirements:
Skills & Experience required to do this role...
Numerical skills
Able to use a computer and understand and use basic spreadsheet applications.
Able to work accurately often at speed.
Timely and punctual.
Thorough and methodical.
Flexible - has the ability and skills to work in a different area of supply chain at short notice.
Previous logistics and/or warehousing experience desirable.
Ability to communicate clearly written and verbal.
Good team worker.
Adherence to instruction whilst communicating potential improvement and/or high-lighting challenges.
Experience in operating MHE desirable.
