As our Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll take ownership of designing special purpose equipment and conveyor systems from concept to production. You'll guide a talented team, ensure compliance with safety standards, and bring complex mechanical systems to life.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading the design of bespoke machinery and mechanical systems
- Producing detailed drawings to ISO standards
- Managing BOMs and specifying components (SAP experience ideal)
- Ensuring HSE compliance and supporting production/testing
- Mentoring fellow engineers and fostering collaboration
- Proven experience in mechanical design (special purpose machinery)
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical & MS Office
- Strong detailing skills across machined, fabricated & sheet metal parts
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and leadership ability
