Lead Medicine Safety and Advisory Pharmacist - Medicine Safety and Governance
Band 8b plus inner London HCAS

The Pharmacy Department at Barts Health is one of the largest in the country and covers a population of 2.5 million. We provide clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation services from our five hospital sites across the City of London, East and North East London.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, compassionate pharmacist to join our friendly and forward-thinking Medicines Information, Safety and Governance team.
The post holder will work as part of a dedicated team leading the strategic development of the Medicines Information Service in line with local and national priorities and will have a vital role in developing and delivering the trust's medication safety agenda. The post holder will support the role of the Medication Safety Officer in ensuring the safe use of medicines across all hospitals within the trust.

Main duties of the job
Candidates should possess significant experience working in a Medicines Information department and within Medicine Safety and Governance. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for quality improvement & safety, and the ability to build effective relationships within multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will be a role model with the vision, insight and self-motivation to initiate and implement change.
