We are looking for a Lead Nurse to join The Avenue Surgery team, to provide a specialist resource for patients within our practice in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Job responsibilities will include:

Assisting in and performing routine tasks related to patient care as indicated by patient need Acting as a clinical leader in the delivery of practice nursing services to patients, ensuring that the needs of the patient are the priority Leading the nursing team in the planning and implementation of local guidelines, protocols and standards, and of local projects or initiatives Promoting the role of the nursing team in the provision of care Participating in practice/clinical meetings, delivering the nursing agenda, and running nurse department meetings Supporting QoF strategy and delivery for long term condition management, maximising income Taking responsibility for managing and maximising ICB, PHE and NHSE driven targets (childhood immunisations, flu campaigns, smears etc) Supporting the development of others in order to maximise staff potential Being the infection control lead and completing IPC audits, developing action plans and ensuring implementations are embedded Working closely with the ACP Clinical Lead Line managing the Practice Nurses, providing regular supervision and completing annual appraisals
