About the Role - What we're looking for
We're looking for an inspiring clinical leader who can balance hands-on, outstanding care with guiding and developing a small, close-knit team. In this role, you'll set the standard - role-modelling excellence, supporting colleagues, and ensuring every guest receives safe, compassionate, and exceptional care in our sector-leading organisation.
You'll work closely with our Head of Clinical Care and Registered Manager to nurture your team's growth, providing support, training, and development while driving forward innovation and continuous improvement. Leading a smaller team means you'll enjoy greater visibility, more autonomy, and the chance to truly shape the culture and direction of your team - making your leadership impact clear and meaningful every single day.
When required, you'll step into the Head of Clinical Care's shoes, ensuring the clinical team is always present, available, and visible - both to our guests and to each other. Above all, you'll be a motivating presence, guiding your team to achieve outstanding results together.
About the person - Who we're looking for
Essential Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
Minimally 4+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
A compassionate leader with experience in a leadership role (Deputy Ward Manager/ Ward Manager- band 6 or above)
A diligent Nurse with a broad range of clinical skills and relevant experience.
Experience teaching/coaching/mentoring team members in clinical skills and diligent care delivery.
A person-centred, guest-focused approach aligned with the Delamere ethos and values.
A solid understanding expectation of medication management, administration and competencies (including controlled drugs and drugs liable for misuse) in a regulated environment.
A passionate Registered Nurse with the ability to motivate and inspire the team.
An organised person with great time management skills, able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of purpose and drive for achievement.
Resilient with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Experience of improving outcomes in a healthcare/social care setting.
Experience of care planning and incident management in a live environment.
Competent at roster management
Knowledge and experience of incident management/risk and clinical governance including audit, information governance and data protection.
Desirable Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Leadership course attendance/qualification
Clinical educator and mentor
Root cause analysis training
An understanding of addiction clinical care and treatment.
Actively develops self and others through feedback, training, and coaching.
A great team player; is collaborative and looks for collective success.
Schedule:
36.75 hrs per week - a combination of supernumerary and clinical shifts.
