Term Time only plus training days



Salary Scale SO1, Point 23-25 (33,366-35,235 FTE, 28,667 - 30,273 pro rata),



plus 5,000 honorarium

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join our pastoral team. We are looking for a proactive, firm and compassionate person to join our fantastic team of pastoral support staff. At IVC, care for our students' mental health and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do, and we are proud to offer access to a range of specialist services. We were one of the first secondary schools in the country to be awarded the prestigious Gold Carnegie Medal for mental health, testament to the support we are able to offer students and staff.

Our innovative Pastoral Hub comprises a variety of spaces, including an alternative provision unit, pastoral referral room and wellbeing space, to bring all aspects of student support together in the heart of the College. Our staff work very closely together to give our students the best possible support, sharing best practice and ensuring that students can succeed regardless of their circumstances. You can expect to work with students with all kinds of pastoral needs, from mental health and anxiety, medical needs, special educational needs and those accessing alternative provision.
