Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced

Lead Offshore Geotechnical Engineer

to join our growing team. You will take ownership of offshore geotechnical data QA/QC, with a particular focus on CPT and sample data integrity, and play a key role in ensuring the highest quality from seabed acquisition through to final reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Lead QA/QC of geotechnical data from shallow seabed offshore investigations (CPT/in situ testing, sampling, and offshore laboratory testing). Support offshore campaigns, ensuring data quality, safety, and alignment with client expectations. Liaise directly with clients and project teams throughout planning, execution, and reporting phases. Contribute to project delivery both offshore and remotely, with occasional office-based work before and after projects. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers. Contribute technical input to project documentation and final reports.
About You

Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of offshore geotechnical experience. Strong understanding of offshore site investigation workflows. Confident in QA/QC of CPT and sample data. Experience in CPT data interpretation, soil classification, sampling techniques, geotechnical laboratory testing, and site investigation procedures. Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to communicate technical information clearly. Preferably UK-based (location flexible for the right candidate).
