We're looking for a Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our Patient Services team at our London Bridge Hospital currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC.


London Bridge Hospital is one of the UK's largest private healthcare hospitals specialising in complex and acute care. Spread over three main buildings and five outpatient centres, it is home to a number of specialist units and teams across a wide range of disciplines including orthopaedic, spinal, digestive diseases, liver, hepatobiliary, renal, cardiothoracic, critical care, cancer and transplant services.


We are looking for a highly motivated Pharmacy Technician, to join our Patient Services team to manage the dispensaries across our London Bridge Hospital Campus. The successful postholder will be line managing and working with a team of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants to ensure all aspects of the core operations are delivered, including dispensary, purchasing, stock control and medicines distribution.


As a key member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team the postholder will be responsible for inventory management across the London Bridge sites and will work closely with other HCA wide Lead Technicians, procurement and aseptic teams to ensure appropriate stock levels and that revenue targets are achieved.

Job Responsibilities:



As a key member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team, you will provide high quality, patient focused, operational pharmacy services which consistently meet the needs of all service users. Within the role of Lead Pharmacy Technician, Patient Services, you will be leading and working with a team of Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants to ensure all aspects of the core pharmacy operations are delivered, including dispensary, purchasing, stock control and medicines distribution. You will be responsible for inventory management across all LBH sites and will work closely with procurement to ensure appropriate stock levels and that revenue targets are achieved. You will be involved in the continuous service and professional development, audit and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs). You will also be a key stakeholder for relevant Quality Improvement Project(s) (QIPs) You will be integral in providing training, education and mentorship to Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants.

What you'll bring:



BTEC / NVQ Level 3 qualification in Pharmaceutical Science / Pharmacy Service Skills/PTTP (or equivalent) and registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) accreditation, or willing to work towards Extensive experience of working in a pharmacy setting as a registered pharmacy technician including dispensing, labelling, stock control Experience of inventory management and stock control Experience of Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinets (desirable)
