Job Description

The purpose of the post is to provide portfolio planning and performance management support for the business and the job holder will be responsible for development of targets, monitoring delivery of targets, managing audit of target achievement, reviewing plans, reviewing status updates, maintaining relevant controlled documents, developing planning capacity and capability within the organisation, and managing planning software.





The role supports the portfolio level accountability data development and assessment, as well as works closely with the wider portfolio team in areas such as change control. The successful candidate will own the integrated project controls (IPC) guidance and ensure that best practices are maintained within the business.




Main Responsibilities




Develop and implement relevant site procedures Undertake assurance and analyse programme schedule, identify developing problem areas, access norms and support change control reviews Provide training and mentoring for the area of planning Analyse critical paths and restraints and integrate inter discipline schedule requirements to establish logical work sequence Provide analytical feedback on overall portfolio performance into the portfolio level accountability sessions Provide oversight of targets, support external audit of targets, and ensure targets proposed support mission delivery Be the Site expert on planning systems, processes, and implementation Be the intelligent customer for Primavera P6 software Perform the responsibilities of authorisations relevant to post Manage staff as a line manage



Aptitudes and Experience




HND or equivalent qualification plus experience Experience in a lead planning role or similar Advanced Primavera P6 skills utilised in a similar or heavily regulated environment Ability to understand large data sets in order to identify planning and resource issues Data risk management, cost and estimating experience Experience of programme and multi-project development and integration Experience of life time plan strategic planning Experience of scope document development Good level of IT skills, and a working knowledge of databases/systems including supporting database systems management Good oral & written communication skills A team player with the ability to work on own initiative Experience of training/supervising a team Demonstrable leadership experience Ability to work under pressure and able to progress multiple tasks effectively in a demanding environment where priorities change frequently



Terms and Conditions





Basic Annual Income - 44,811 to 76,934 overtime rates apply as standard.



37.9 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Every third Friday being a non-working day.



Annual Holiday Entitlement: 25 days annual leave, 8 public holidays, 2.5 privilege holidays



12 Month Contract - Maternity Cover



Security Clearance - Vacancy requires candidate to undergo security clearance checks
