Service Care Solutions is delighted to be supporting a forward-thinking local authority, based in Nottinghamshire , which needs an experienced Planning Solicitor or Barrister to take on the role of Lead Planning Lawyer within their legal services team. Role: Lead Planning Lawyer Location: Nottinghamshire - Hybrid (occasional office attendance) Umbrella Rate: 50 - 60ph PAYE Inc. Rate: 44.10 - 52.79ph Contract Length : 3 months ongoing The Role As the Council's Lead Planning Lawyer, you will: Advise on all aspects of planning law, with a focus on major minerals and waste developments and the complex legal agreements that accompany them. Provide expert legal input on planning applications, appeals, enforcement, and inquiries . Advise on highway-related legal matters as required. Play a key role in mentoring junior staff , including supporting the professional development of a graduate solicitor apprentice . About You We're looking for a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with: Significant post-qualification experience in planning law (local government experience highly desirable). Strong technical knowledge and the ability to handle complex, high-value matters. A collaborative approach and an enthusiasm for developing junior team members .
