No matter where you sit or which team you are a part of, we want you to know that you contribute in helping us to shape where the company will be in the future. We would love for each employee to be able to talk with pride about our company and, most importantly, consider Open GI to be an inclusive, fun and fulfilling place to work.

Position:

-------------

You are a proven quality leader who shapes and drives the Test Automation and Performance strategy across Open GI's technical domains. You lead by example, guiding our teams to deliver high-quality outcomes through best-in-class testing practices, tools, and metrics. You foster a culture of excellence, mentoring QA professionals and empowering them to grow through collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Your leadership spans across business, development, infrastructure, and domain knowledge, with a deep understanding that "quality" is a shared responsibility and must be embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle. You are a vocal advocate for the end-user experience, ensuring that quality remains central to every decision.

Operating within a fast-paced and rapidly evolving Platform as a Service environment, as well as legacy systems, you play a pivotal role in how we deliver resilient, scalable, and high-performing tools and services to our wider engineering teams. Your influence helps shape the future of platform solution quality across the organisation. You are instrumental in:

Ensuring sustainable, high-quality delivery that meets business objectives and user needs. Building and maintaining robust, scalable automation suites that support continuous integration and delivery. Improving delivery metrics, including reduced cycle time, fewer failed deployments, faster recovery, and increased deployment frequency.

Key responsibilities of the role:

Partner with QA and Engineering teams to evolve testing practices that support innovation and delivery excellence. Mentor teams in test frameworks, integration, API testing, and scalable testing approaches. Lead the development and implementation of testing strategies aligned with technical architecture and delivery goals. Recommend and support test frameworks that enable fast, reliable feedback loops. Perform exploratory manual testing across application layers, considering business goals, infrastructure, and user needs. Design and implement automation strategies that accelerate delivery and uphold quality standards. Execute performance testing using appropriate tools and techniques across the tech stack. Ensure cross-functional quality requirements--such as accessibility, usability, and availability--are validated using fit-for-purpose methods.

Collaboration & Communication

Build trusted relationships with stakeholders through transparent communication and shared accountability. Communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences, adapting messages to inspire action and alignment. Collaborate across roles to embed quality early, partnering with BAs, Developers, POs, and PMs to define and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Agile & Leadership Practices

Champion Agile and Lean QA principles, guiding teams in applying practices that foster adaptability, speed, and alignment. Foster a feedback-rich environment to support growth, confidence, and continuous improvement. Demonstrate emotional intelligence in navigating team dynamics and influencing positive outcomes. Coach and mentor team members to build capability, support decision-making, and solve problems collaboratively.
