Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Practitioner to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of practitioners in providing high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting. Your expertise in early childhood education and childcare will drive the development of engaging programmes that foster children's growth and learning. Strong communication skills and leadership abilities are essential to ensure a nurturing environment for both children and staff.

Duties



Manage daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and staff to foster positive relationships and promote children's development. Plan and implement educational programmes that cater to the individual needs of children, ensuring a stimulating learning environment. Supervise and mentor practitioners, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development. Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and attendance, ensuring confidentiality is upheld. Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting. Collaborate with external agencies to support children with additional needs or challenges.

Qualifications



Proven experience in early childhood education or childcare settings, particularly within a nursery environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A relevant qualification in early childhood education or childcare is desirable. Experience working with children of various ages, understanding their developmental milestones and needs. A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on best practices in early years education.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour
