Fortius Clinic are expanding their Scrub team!

We are currently hiring a new

Lead Nurse

to join our

Scrub

team on a full-time permanent basis in

London

.

This is to work on average 37.5 hours per week (162.5 hours per month).

Surgical Centre based in Marylebone, London.

Work flexibly Monday - Saturday across our theatre sites.

Start as early as 07:00 or finish as late at 22:00.

Purpose of Job:



The purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate the safe and efficient delivery of perioperative care within a defined clinical specialty in a private orthopaedic surgical centre. The role involves leading both clinical practice and operational planning, ensuring that surgical lists are appropriately staffed, resourced, and executed to the highest standards.

Acting as a key point of leadership, the post-holder supports service improvement, promotes patient safety, and contributes to the professional development of the theatre team, while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, clinical governance, and patient experience standards.

Job Requirements:



Required:

Active NMC/ HCPC registration. Qualified Surgical First Assist (SFA). Experience of tight budgetary management including Profit and Loss accountability. Educated to degree level with considerable further professional development. ILS Qualification. Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in operating theatre setting with specific orthopaedic and spinal scrub skills. Strong organisational and communications skills. Demonstrable experience of driving growth. Proven ability to lead a multi-functional team. Mentorship/Practice Assessor. Evidence of clinical reasoning skills across a varied patient case mix. Effective communicator with the ability to build professional relationships. Evidence of continuous professional development.
