Job Overview


We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic professional Lead Receptionist to manage our front desk operations 3 days + 1 Saturday per month (According to Rota) and Co-Manage the practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient service. This role requires excellent clerical skills, a strong command of office procedures, and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.

Duties



Greet clients and visitors with exceptional phone etiquette and professionalism. Oversee day to day running of the practice. Ensure CQC, Health & Safety and infection control compliance. Support implementation of practice policies and protocols. Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing them to the appropriate personnel. Handle recruitment, onboarding and staff development. Conduct performance reviews and address HR matters. Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently using various software applications. Manage staff rotas (clinical and admin). Maintain an organised reception area, ensuring it is tidy and welcoming at all times. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings. Utilise Google Suite for document creation, data management, and communication purposes. Support financial operations by processing invoices and managing records. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless office operations and provide support where needed. Handle complaints and service recovery when needed.

Skills



Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Proficient clerical skills including typing speed and accuracy. Competent in using computerised systems for data entry and office management. Familiarity with Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Calendar). Excellent phone etiquette with strong interpersonal skills for client interactions. Familiarity with dental software (SOE/EXACT). Understanding of dental compliance (CQC, GDC, GDPR). Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience in clinical and admin area of Dentistry.
