Role/Department Description:
The Content Integration Framework team is seeking a talented and highly motivated engineer for the role of Lead Software Engineer.
The Content Integration Framework team within the Data Solutions Engineering department is leading the effort to streamline and modernize the way Data Solutions distributes ingests first- and third-party data across FactSet.
You'll be part of a team working to build and enhance data pipelines, crucial to the successful transformation of Data Solution's data distribution strategy. Team members are exposed to the entire FactSet technology stack and are given flexibility to rapidly develop and prototype solutions using many different technologies and programming languages as we seek to improve our cloud-oriented service layer.
The team: 4 software engineers in the UK and 1 in France
Responsibilities:

  • Leading the architecture, design, development of data pipelines used to ingest and transform our data.
  • Significantly influencing our overall strategy by helping define features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.
  • Promoting infrastructure as code and helping teams to shift to an automated deployment process.
Required Skills:
  • 6+ years of experience as a software engineer with a good experience in Python and SQL.
  • Experience takes a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
  • Experience working with AWS main services (e.g. S3, Glue, EKS, MSK)
Additional Skills/Desired:
  • Strong experience in architecting and building multi-threaded, distributed systems.
  • Experience with Databricks & Sparks
  • Ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment.
Education:
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
