Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Sports Coach to join our team and inspire the next generation of young athletes across our partner primary schools. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working with children and is dedicated to promoting active, healthy lifestyles through high-quality physical education and extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons and sports sessions for children aged 4-11. Lead and mentor a team of assistant coaches to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery. Organize and oversee school sports events, clubs, and competitions. Build strong relationships with school staff, pupils, and parents to promote participation in sport. Ensure all activities are safe, inclusive, and aligned with the national PE curriculum. Support the development of new sports programmes and initiatives within schools.
Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience coaching in primary school or youth sport settings. Recognised Level 2 (or higher) coaching qualification in at least one sport. Up-to-date Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. A passion for inspiring children to enjoy physical activity and teamwork. Valid first aid and safeguarding certifications (preferred).
