Lead Surgical Consultant
with a specialism in
Upper Limb, Lower Limb, or Maxillofacial Surgery

About the Role
As Lead Consultant, you'll take ownership of complex case management while contributing to surgical innovation and team leadership. Your responsibilities will include:
Performing advanced procedures within your area of expertise (Upper Limb, Lower Limb, Maxillofacial)
Collaborating closely with orthopaedic surgeons, anaesthetists, sports physicians, physiotherapists, and diagnostics teams
Leading MDT discussions and contributing to long-term care planning
Mentoring junior clinicians and assisting in clinical governance
Supporting research, audits, and continuous service development
Key Skills & Experience Required
? GMC specialist registration (Upper Limb, Lower Limb, or Maxillofacial Surgery)
? CCT (or equivalent) with at least 5 years' experience post-specialisation
? Previous experience in a surgical lead or senior consultant role
? Proven track record of successful outcomes in complex surgical cases
? Strong MDT collaboration and case management skills
? Passion for patient-centred care, innovation, and evidence-based practice
