Job description



The Role




SLC now have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Technical Architect to join our Strategy and Architecture team. The Lead Technical Architect is responsible for the architectural design and governance of key areas within a complex digital environment. Acting as a subject matter expert across one or more technological capabilities within the future state architecture, the role defines and maintains the organisation's technology and data architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and industry standards.


The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership to senior solution architects, fostering technical excellence, and drive innovation through emerging technologies. Key responsibilities include shaping platform roadmaps, assuring architectural integrity, and translating complex requirements into scalable, secure solutions. The role spans the entire SLC change portfolio and contributes to stakeholder engagement, enterprise governance, and continuous improvement of architecture practices.

What You Bring





Enterprise level experience technology and data architecture experience in a number of domains (Cloud, Java software development, infrastructure, enterprise applications and integrations, low code platforms, CRM etc) Experience of working with and leading the development of key architectural concepts and trends Experience of leading activity in one or more of the following Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, Domain Architecture, Data/Information Architecture, Security Architecture Experience working in a complex customer-facing technology environment Experience working in a complex change landscape Experience of working in a multi-vendor environment and of integrating disparate technologies Experience in communicating at all levels including at an executive level with partners and senior Excellent understanding of large-scale system, information and technology architectures, including application integration patterns, messaging, service-oriented architecture and information models. A track record in design and architecture of complex IT solutions Demonstrated ability to deliver results under demanding timelines Willingness to learn new technologies, methodologies, applications and grow with team
