Your mission

We are seeking a Windchill Technical Architect/Leader to drive digital transformation projects in the industrial sector. This full-time role is home-based in the Greater London area with opportunities for both on-site and remote client work. Eligibility for defense security clearance is required.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing and delivering technical and software architecture solutions, working closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with enterprise/strategic architectures and complex business and technical requirements and objectives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential for all activities.

Typical activities will include solution architecture design, software development, configuration and customisation of Windchill modules (e.g. PDMLink and MPMLink), integration management and validating that architectures are robust, scalable and efficient.

You will support preparation and oversight of data migration, software upgrade and system integration (e.g. ERP and MOM/MES) activities. You will also contribute to technical proposals as well as project scoping, estimation and planning activities.

Your role:

Analyze business needs and propose appropriate solutions Estimate the workload and calculate the cost of the requested features Write technical specifications and ensure their implementation Design, develop and customize specific software modules for the solution Work with the team to make corrections and upgrades to the application Integrate the solution with other systems (e.g. ERP and MOM/MES) Implement APIs and optimize performance Coordinate technical and acceptance testing Prepare packaging and supervise deployment operations Implement and manage the database upgrade and/or migration plans Define, coordinate and ensure the quality/application of project team processes Meet project deadlines and quality commitments Participate in governance activities in collaboration with the Project/Program Manager Monitor technological developments and the evolution of PLM systems Maintain customer relations
Flexible remote work in the Greater London area with occasional on-site client visits.

Your profile

Minimum 5 years of experience with PTC Windchill implementation Interest in coaching, sharing and technical management Natural leadership and team spirit

Knowledge of Windchill technical architectures and hands-on expertise in:

Windchill customization and configuration Optimizing performance, scalability and security Upgrade, data migration and integration processes and tools Software development and DevOps best practices, processes and tools (e.g. Agile methodology/tools) Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, XML, SQL, and RESTful API development Proven ability to collaborate effectively and manage stakeholders Demonstrated leadership, communication, and teamwork skills Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Customer centric and outcome oriented

Appreciated, familiarity with:

ETL, middleware and (I)IoT solutions Data exchange formats (e.g. STEP, IGES and JT) Enterprise Architecture principles and best practices Program Management and Governance principles and best practices
