Lead Technician

Job Description

Vivisol are currently hiring for a Lead Technician in our reconditioning department at our Stirling plant and warehouse. We are looking for someone to join our established team to lead a small team or technicians to refurbish electrical and mechanical respiratory equipment, and test equipment against manufacturer specification.

We offer a generous package, including: 33 days holiday (including BH), excellent training and development programs, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, as well as a starting salary of 28,000-30,000 per annum.

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm
40 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will have an electrical or mechanical background, previous leadership or management experience, and previous technician experience in a similar environment.

The main duties of the Lead Technician include:



Coaching and mentoring a small team of technicians, upskilling and developing as needed Testing, reconditioning and resetting respiratory equipment, such as CPAP and NIV devices Testing equipment against manufacturer specification and regulations Assessing the physical capabilities of devices Fully refurbishing devices for patient use Identifying faults to repair, either functional or cosmetic, and documenting the faults and repairs Investigating returned equipment that has failed use or received a complaint Monitoring and actioning backlog as needed Reviewing department processes to improve quality and output

Education and qualifications of the Lead Technician:



Previous experience in a technician / engineer role (essential) Experience leading and coaching a small team (essential) HNC/HND in a technician or engineering discipline (desired) Excellent verbal and written communication skills
