Hours:

Full Time 30 hours - 9:00-15:00

Salary:

27,500 pro rata + retention related bonuses

Contract:

Fixed-term November 3rd 2025 - August 31st 2026 (with the option to extend)

The Role

We are looking for a

Lead Tutor in Maths and English

to design, deliver, and oversee our core provision. You will lead on planning high-quality, engaging sessions that meet learner needs, helping them to make real progress. As the Lead, you'll also support and guide an Assistant and work closely with the wider beYou team to ensure learners reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver effective, learner-centred Maths and English lessons. Lead on curriculum design, lesson planning, and assessment for beYou Core. Track learner progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs. Mentor and support your assistant. Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies where appropriate. Contribute to the wider Be You Education ethos of promoting confidence and independence.

Person Specification

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent (desirable). Experience teaching maths and/or English to KS3/KS4 learners. Experience working with young people in alternative provision or those with additional needs. Strong organisational and communication skills. * A commitment to safeguarding and promoting wellbeing.
