Lead Tutor Security - Full time - 35,550 per annum

Independent Training Services are going from strength to strength and as part of our ambitious expansion we are looking for a new Learning Coach to join our busy Adult Skills team.

In this rewarding role, you will provide outstanding teaching and learning and help students achieve vocational work-related qualifications in a wide range of subjects including Customer Service, Mental Health, Health & Safety, whilst leading on the core subjects of First Aid and Security.

As part of the 'sector lead' role, you will provide Lead Internal Quality Assurance for First Aid and Security and ensure that you are not only occupationally competent but are also the first point of call for internal Information Advice and Guidance on these topics (ensuring continuous personal development in these core subject areas is a must).

The courses operate within South & West Yorkshire in partnership with Jobcentreplus and local employers, helping people move into sustainable employment.

You will be a key part of the team, delivering engaging sessions, providing learner feedback, and ensuring students are making expected progress and working towards outcomes.

This role is homebased with venue parking costs covered and travel expenses can be claimed after the first 15 miles.

A teaching qualification (A1 or equivalent)

An internal quality assurance qualification (V1 or similar)

Vocational experience within the Security Industry

Level 2 Award in Door Supervision

Level 3 Physical Intervention training qualification

Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification

Experience of working within the Welfare to work sector, helping the unemployed prepare for work

Evidence of CPD completed for the 'core subject areas' in the last 12 months

Experience of delivering Sector-Based Work Academy Programmes (SWAP's) in conjunction with the Department for Work and Pensions.
