About the Role
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to take on a
Lead Vet
position within a thriving small animal practice in
Melton Mowbray
.
As the practice prepares to move into a
brand-new, purpose-built hospital
(opening in 2026), the Lead Vet will play a pivotal role in shaping the next chapter of the clinic's journey - supporting both clinical excellence and team growth.
You'll be responsible for:
Overseeing day-to-day clinical and operational activity
Providing mentorship and support to the wider veterinary team, including new graduates
Leading by example, driving best-practice veterinary care
Supporting the smooth transition into the new hospital facility
Collaborating with the senior leadership team to develop the practice strategically
Due to PSS Hospital status requirements, applicants must hold a
postgraduate certificate
, ideally with a medicine or imaging bias. Previous leadership experience is essential.
