Lead Volunteer Shop Assistant
Job Description
Lead volunteer wanted for our Falkirk shop. Previous retail experience is desirable, but we do provide full training and ongoing coaching. The role involves supporting the management in the day to day running of the shop and also occasional holiday cover, where you would be responsible for opening/closing/cashing up and leading the team.
This role would particularly suit someone who has retired and wants to remain active and also anyone looking to gain further retail experience for their CV.
Our volunteers also have free access to our Volunteer Hub, which is full of useful training courses, development materials, and information to support your wellbeing. Donate as much or as little time as you wish.
You'll gain practical work experience and develop new skills, meet new people and become part of a fantastic team. You'll grow in confidence and improve your mental and physical wellbeing whilst helping to make a difference and save the lives of pets in need. You'll also promote sustainability by selling pre-loved goods.
This position is unpaid and applicants must be over 18.
