We have an immediately available opportunity for a Lead Water Technician to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks - South West Water team. In this role, you will be working on our Southwest Water contract, where we work on repairs and maintenance services to provide reliable, efficient, and high-quality drinking water and wastewater services.

In the role of Lead Water Technician at Kier, you will work on schemes including mains repairs, new connections, and metering, all within a team that values comradery and collaboration. Importantly, as part of our close-knit team, you will also play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, creating a secure and protected work environment which is always the highest priority at Kier.

Location: Based in Plymouth with travel across the picturesque, coastal Southwest region - company vehicle will be provided.

Contract: Permanent \xe2\x80\x93 Full time or Part time

Responsibilities

The role of Lead Water Technician will be field-based and will involve reporting daily to the depot supervisor, ensuring health and safety of site, self and colleagues, maintaining Kier\xe2\x80\x99s standards of quality of work and productivity.

You will be expected to:

  • \xc2\xb7 Undertake planned or reactive work as directed from water services to large diameter mains
  • \xc2\xb7 Ensure levels of productivity working within timescales and to targets.
  • \xc2\xb7 Ensure that all relevant documentation is updated on each job using a tablet
  • \xc2\xb7 Be a part of a rapid response team that works around the clock to deliver and restore clean water
Who are we looking for?
  • You need to have previous Utilities experience
  • Hold a valid Full Drivers Licence
  • Willingness to upskill - Comprehensive training will be provided
