Shackles Off is a Youth & Community Project based in Copeland, which provides varied provision for children, young people & families in Seascale, Millom, Hensingham & surrounding areas.
Job description
We are looking for a Lead Youth Worker to head up the Shackles Off team in Hensingham and lead quality youth work in our Hensingham Centre. As the lead youth worker, you will support the operations manager and be expected to lead youth clubs, provide 1:1 & NEET support, as well as planning trips and activities. Your office base will be in Seascale and youth sessions in Hensingham. Hours are worked Monday-Friday with occasional weekend working (once or twice a year).
Applicants must have: -
Level 3 Youthwork qualification or equivalent experience Proven experience working with children & young people Proven organisational & leadership capabilities An awareness of the issues facing young people The ability to work flexible hours (2 evenings a week) Post is Subject to Enhanced DBS
