We are looking for caring people with an eye for detail to provide the highest level of personal care and attention to our service users, whilst managing the team.

You will be responsible for:

Supervising the floor on a daily basis, ensuring that all the relevant tasks have been completed

Checking all the relevant paperwork and logs have been completed comprehensively with no gaps

Reporting any changes in a resident's condition to a senior person on duty.

Directing and supporting the staff on a daily basis, and reporting any concerns to senior care or management

Ensuring all the residents needs are being met, and the care plans and logs corresponds to the care delivered

Support the senior care in the managing of the shifts, and ensure that staff allocation is based on skill and knowledge to best suit the needs of the home

Supervise new staff, and support and develop their learning ensuring full inductions are completed and handed back to the management team once signed off

Assist with resident mobility, changes in position (including pressure relief) using approved, safe techniques and equipment

Communicating clearly with residents, taking into account individual needs and ability, ensuring residents wear/use hearing aids, spectacles and other communication aids appropriately

Recording and passing on observations and findings to the GP or community nursing team eg: weight, food and fluid intake, telephone messages. Logs to be maintained in resident individual files.

This will also include simple tests such as urinalysis and BM's once appropriately trained to do so.

Assisting in serving meals and helping resident to eat and drink, taking care to present meals and refreshments in an attractive way, with polite and courteous service.

Assisting with resident bathing, dressing, undressing, toileting and personal hygiene and ensure all the documentation is completed fully

Experience in a care assistant role or higher is essential
