Leadership Academy Strategic Development Lead
Salary:
The starting salary is 59,839, which includes allowances totalling 2,928.
The salary is broken down as 56,911 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale 69,342. Plus, a location allowance of 1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of 1,000.

The Met's new Leadership Academy is looking for ambitious and forward-thinking team members to join a dynamic team committed to delivering contemporary and impactful learning for our leaders. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of leadership development within the Met.
The role holder will be responsible for co-creating a Leadership Development strategy aligned to the organisation's strategic priorities, notably a New Met for London. This post must focus on strategy development and long-term planning for the attainment of Academy goals.
The Strategic Development Lead is to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement across all Academy business areas and maintain focus on a 5-year horizon.
Critical to success, this role must champion leadership development and supporting activity by building effective relationships across the organisation, this includes external stakeholders (College of Policing, Local Government, and industry experts). These relationships must help evolve the Academy's strategic thinking and develop short, medium and long-term leadership initiatives such as how leadership programmes feed into and align with HR PDR, talent development and promotions.

Qualifications
MBA or MSc is Business Strategy or similar field (highly desirable).
Strategic Leadership and Management (Lvl 5-7) or equivalent (desirable).
Change Management (Lvl 5-7) or equivalent (desirable).
Project/programme management related to learning environments (or similar) - ideally with formal qualifications e.g., Prince2, Agile or similar (desirable).
ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems) or similar (desirable but not essential).
Membership of a professional body e.g. CMI, IoL, IMC, CIPD, APM, or equivalent (desirable).
Experience
6+ years' experience in management consulting, business administration, and/or strategic planning
Experience of senior leadership positions with an ability to demonstrate significant responsibility and accountability for your work.
Experience of working with high profile local and national stakeholder groups.
Experience influencing and working with senior leaders from across a complex organisation.
Experience of creating and executing high-impact leadership strategy.
