Description
Leadership Development Consulting Associates at DDI utilize their business expertise to lead client projects, with a focus on leadership assessment and development. They bring versatile consulting skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with strategic learning teams-including sales, consulting, and project management-to deliver impactful solutions for clients. Although this position does not carry a sales quota, Leadership Development Consulting Associates work closely with account managers and project managers to retain, renew, and grow business within their client portfolio.
Note: With time and progression, there will be opportunities to expand into broader consulting opportunities within DDI that are focused on driving value to customers as business and talent advisors. This may include deeper exposure into more executive-level assessment solutions, as well as consulting leadership on larger accounts.
Responsibilities
Client Support

  • Active collaboration with account managers to support business opportunities through the development of proposals, cost analyses, presentations, and implementation planning.
  • Leverage business acumen to engage and lead context-gathering activities with clients (e.g. interviews, focus groups) to gain a deep understanding of their business context, priorities, key needs, and industry drivers to recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Liaise with key client stakeholders to provide consulting support in the design of competency-based learning journeys that leverage multiple solutions, including assessment and development.
  • Provide support and direction on projects, assistance with the delivery of assessment and development solutions, coordinating curriculum development and training delivery, and design and development of customised client-specific content.
  • Conduct feedback debrief sessions with clients following DDI diagnostics (360-degree feedback, behavioural assessment, personality inventory).
  • Translate expertise into meaningful customer-centred points of view to provide both insights and foresight around key business and talent needs.
  • Use of DDI technology platforms and digital tools for delivery and assessment.
Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Compile, analyse, and interpret assessment results; prepare client-ready reports and insights.
  • Analysis of assessment and development data to provide continuous leadership intelligence to clients.
Project Management
  • Support project management execution activities during implementation and set up phase, quarterly reviews, renewal discussions, and implementation, as needed.
  • Provide quality assurance through deliverable review for accuracy and alignment with client objectives and organizational standards.
  • During the first year, advanced project management responsibilities, including coordination with DDI resources, planning, and client liaison to support client execution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, combined with 2+ years of experience, ideally in a consulting environment focused on Leadership consulting (diagnostics, personality inventories, assessment, development, promotion, selection). An advanced degree in business, psychology, or a leadership development field in lieu of experience is also strongly considered.
  • Experience with the following:
  • Diagnostics and competency-based learning journeys combining multiple learning methods (classroom, virtual classroom, e-learning, assessment, games, etc.)
  • Delivery activities (e.g., facilitating leadership development courses, providing feedback, conducting needs analyses, etc.).
  • Working in global project teams to deliver high-quality client outcomes and managing stakeholder expectations across multiple projects.
  • Demonstrates current market knowledge related to digital leadership, agile leadership, change management, diversity, equity, and inclusion, transforming organisations, role transitions, and common leadership pitfalls.
  • High work standards, energy, and receptivity to feedback.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, change, and stepping toward situations to define solutions.
  • Displays high-impact communication, strong client management skills, customer focus, and influencing skills.
  • Ability/willingness to travel if needed.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and German is required. Fluency in another European language is a valuable asset.

We operate a hybrid working model. To ensure effective onboarding and team connection, the first six months include three days per week in the office.
