About the role





If you're a Foreman or a Chargehand looking for a new exciting opportunity, then this role might be the one for you. As an Engineering Leadhand at our Aberdeen depot, you will ensure strong teams are built in the depot, by consistently delivering a great service everyday, as well as being responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the depot, this includes the supervision of a small, diverse team of engineers.



Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:


You will provide clear technical guidance and support to colleagues, promoting a collaborative and inclusive working environment where all team members feel valued and respected. You'll be responsible for fairly assigning both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, making the best use of available skills and resources across the team. You will carry out diagnostics and repairs on vehicles to a high standard, ensuring their safety, reliability and compliance with service requirements. Managing labour and overtime in line with agreed authorisation limits set by the Engineering Manager will form part of your duties, as will reviewing and taking appropriate action on vehicle defects recorded within the EVDC (Electronic Variable Displacement Compressor) system. You will use the INFOR system to plan, allocate and manage engineering workloads effectively, ensuring that all tasks are scheduled and recorded appropriately.

About you




Minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds level 1 & 2) in a relevant Vehicle Repair subject, and proven mechanical work experience. Must hold a full UK driving licence Must a UK resident
