Profile:
You will be ambitious in all of your endeavours and work with vision. With proven experience in plumbing and heating or leak detection, you will be confident in accurately identifying mains leaks, heating leaks and leaks in multiple dwellings, or have a strong foundation of knowledge and skills to build on.

On a daily basis, leak detection engineers will complete a thorough inspection and survey of the site premises they have been assigned and on completion, write a full and comprehensive report, detailing findings. Attending two surveys a day is typical and may increase during busy periods. Surveys are assigned based on distance from residing area and overnight hotel stays are necessary on occasion.

Core responsibilities:
- Carry out daily leak detection activities that aid the company in meeting its targets
- Stay up to date with current skills and qualifications to improve performance
- To maintain leak detection equipment using the correct operation conditions as directed, including cleaning of cases and company vehicle
- Set up and break down equipment after each survey in a safe and professional manner
- Adequate and accurate completion of all paperwork in a timely manner, including detailed reports identifying the type and location of the leak
- Ensure work areas are safe and in line with health and safety procedures
- Deliver high quality customer service with careful attention to detail
- Use initiative and problem solving skills to analyse scenarios and locate leaks
- Travel within county, surrounding counties and further where required
Skills and experience
Essential:
- 2 years + experience in the plumbing and heating or leak detection industry
- Expertise surrounding leak detection equipment and methods, heating systems and pipework
- Excellent written communication and time management skills
- Proven problem solving skills and ability to think outside the box
- Customer focused
- Able to work independently and with initiative
- Excellent time management skills
- Basic IT skills so that can easily adapt to using new software
- Full driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience in leak detection industry dealing with various types of leaks hidden in internal and external pipework
- Experience in report writing comprehensive reports to tight and competing deadlines while managing workload effectively
