Reports To: Factory Manager



Primary Purpose of the Role



The

Lean Coordinator

is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining Lean methodologies (e.g.,

5S

,

Kaizen

,

Value Stream Mapping

,

Standard Work

,

SMED

) to eliminate waste, improve quality, increase efficiency, and reduce operational costs. This role will facilitate improvement events, train employees, and monitor key performance indicators (

KPIs

) related to Lean initiatives. You will have a real shop floor presence supporting the deployment of change programs.

Key Responsibilities



Lean Implementation:

Lead the implementation of Lean tools and methodologies across all production areas.

Facilitation:

Organize and facilitate

Kaizen

events,

Gemba

walks, and other continuous improvement workshops with cross-functional teams.

Training & Coaching:

Develop and deliver training programs on Lean principles and tools to all levels of the organization. Coach and mentor employees to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Value Stream Mapping (VSM):

Conduct and analyse

VSM

to identify and prioritize waste and bottlenecks in current-state processes. Develop future-state maps and action plans.

Standard Work:

Establish, document, and audit

Standard Work

procedures to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.

Performance Tracking:

Define, monitor, and report on Lean KPIs (e.g., OEE, lead time, inventory turns, scrap rates) and the progress of improvement projects.

Sustainability:

Ensure that implemented changes are documented, followed, and sustained over time.

Required Qualifications



Experience



Minimum of

5 years of experience

working in a manufacturing environment, with at least

3 years dedicated to leading Lean/Continuous Improvement projects

. Proven track record of successfully implementing core Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM, SMED, TPM).

Skills & Competencies



Expert knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles

and methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of complex issues. Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. Proficiency in process mapping and data analysis (e.g., using MS Excel, Visio or similar) Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and influence change without direct authority.

Working Hours



This role is fulltime on-site

Mon - Thu 7:15am - 16:30pm Friday 7:15am - 12:15pm (or 7:30 start and 16:45 finish)
