About Us

Lumen Electronics is a lean electronics manufacturer building IoT products for machinery OEMs.

We design, manufacture and support everything in-house: PCB design to firmware to production.

The Role

You'll build operational excellence across the board using lean manufacturing principles. Managing the team and reporting directly to the managing director. The goal is to build the most efficient electronic product development and manufacturing company in the UK & Ireland.

Your Responsibilities:

Lean Leadership:

Lead morning meeting and daily 5S. Implement Kaizen and continuous improvement across all departments. Instil company culture and principles.
Operations:

Procure materials in timely delivery. Schedule production flow. Ensure good workflow engineering & production team. Implement world class quality procedures.
Business Administration:

Coordinate bookkeeping (working with accountant) Review team member performance and development (working with the MD) Develop the world's leanest ERP system (working with software team)

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

Passion for Lean Manufacturing 3+ years manufacturing operations experience Proven Lean implementation People management skills Comfortable with SME environment

Desirable:

Contract manufacturing or build-to-order experience ERP/manufacturing systems implementation Procurement/supply chain experience Engineering background

The Reality:

This role is broad at our stage (6-7 Team Members). You'll wear multiple hats. As we grow, we'll hire support staff (bookkeeper, production supervisor) so you can focus on operations excellence.

Location: Toomebridge Hours: 8:30-5:00 Mon-Thur Salary negotiable on experience Start: ASAP (flexible for notice period)
