1 full time opportunity - 37 hours - Term Time Only
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.45 - 4.45 and Friday 9.00 - 4.30
NJC pay scales level 5 26,824 per annum, pro rata for part time staff
Overview:
To compliment the professional work of the teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under agreed system of supervision.
Providing support and guidance to young people and those engaged with them at removing barriers to learning to promote effective participation, raise aspiration and achieve full potential.
Supporting learners who will have SEN needs or EHCP (Education Health Care Plans)
Assisting individual learners in the learning environment, whether in the classroom, study area or outside activity as directed by the teaching staff.
You will be assigned to work with an individual or several identified students within a class.
Supporting learners in the learning environment, e.g. breaking down tasks into manageable chunks, assisting with focus and concentration, checking understanding and where required act as a scribe for the learners use.
Applicants must hold a full driving license as they will be required to work across two sites.

Southend Adult Community College is a vibrant and successful College, with 3 sites. Our main site is based in the Southchurch area, close to Southend East train station on the C2C line.
The provision includes community learning, SEN and high needs provision, adult skills, vocational pathways, and study programmes for young people.
