The Recipe
As a Learning & Development Manager, you'll play a central role in our people development strategy, helping teams reach their full potential. You'll deliver engaging, blended learning solutions, support leadership progression, and embed our Values & Behaviours across the business. With our business transforming, it's an exciting time to join us.
We're modernising our approach to learning, embracing Virtual Reality, AI, and innovative design tools to create impactful learning experiences. You'll be part of a high-performing, national L&D team that's committed to both personal and business growth.
Key Accountabilities and Measures
Lead the local L&D agenda, aligning with business transformation.
Identify and address development needs with Management and HR.
Design and deliver engaging, blended learning for operational teams.
Support line managers in developing people management skills.
Implement the annual L&D plan and maintain accurate training records via the LMS.
Coach and develop skills trainers for high-quality, consistent delivery.
Support the development of junior talent and apprentices.
Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple sites, with regular travel required.
Essential Ingredients
Expertise in Learning & Development, with strong coaching and mentoring skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and ability to promote a learning culture.
Deep knowledge of the learning cycle, accelerated learning techniques, and adult learning theory.
Experience with learning technologies and blended learning solutions.
Understanding of management development theory and best practice.
Flexibility to work across multiple locations (Bolton, Burnley and Squires Gate - Manufacturing and Distribution).
Full UK Driving License.
