We're on the lookout for a

dynamic and driven Learning & Development Manager to join our People & Culture team. You'll lead the full cycle of delivering engaging, high-impact learning--scoping, designing, rolling out, and following up--ensuring that every programme within our

Annual Training Plan sparks growth and builds a stronger, more capable workforce.


You'll take ownership of key programmes including:


Staff Induction - making every new starter feel welcome and empowered from day one*
Mandatory and Essential Training - ensuring compliance without compromising on engagement*
CI Apprenticeships & Teacher Training - developing the future of education*
Management Development (Pathways to Progression) - helping leaders thrive at every level*
Professional Development Days - sparking ideas, innovation and inspiration*
Bespoke Training - tailored learning experiences that meet real needs*


In this role, you will be the go-to person for all things L&D.



You'll organise and promote impactful sessions, host and support inspiring speakers, and oversee a range of training initiatives that directly support the College's strategic goals and values. You'll ensure our programmes deliver

maximum value, measurable results, and an exceptional learner experience.

Essential Qualifications:




Education to

Level 3 or above

and/or a

professional qualification

in a relevant subject area (or equivalent) Minimum of

Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics

, such as: GCSE Grade 4 or above (Grade C or above) CSE Level 1 O-Level Grade C or above Level 2 Functional Skills in Adult Literacy/Numeracy (or equivalent)

CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification in Learning & Development

, or a willingness to work towards one

Essential Experience:




Solid experience working in a

Learning & Development environment

or other training roles Confident in

hosting events and meetings

, comfortable presenting to groups--including senior leaders Proven ability to

build strong relationships

with managers and staff to identify and provide relevant support Skilled in handling

confidential data

and proficient in developing and maintaining

databases, reports, and training materials
