Role Overview



The Learning and Development Partner will play a vital role in ensuring our colleagues have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to deliver outstanding, person-centred care in line with regulatory standards and our organisational goals. You will work closely with home managers, regional teams, and the Learning and Development Manager to assess training needs and develop effective learning interventions that reflect best practice in the care sector.



This is a hands-on, varied role where you will deliver training in multiple formats, design and update course content, mentor individuals through qualification programmes, and help embed a culture of continuous learning across the organisation.



You'll be based remotely but will regularly travel to sites across the North West, with occasional overnight stays.



Key Responsibilities



Collaborate with home managers to assess learning needs and shape local training plans

Design, deliver and evaluate a range of learning programmes across different formats (face-to-face, online, on-the-job, coaching)

Deliver engaging workshops to new and existing staff, including mandatory and developmental topics

Support learners undertaking Apprenticeships and Care Certificate programmes

Use and administer the learning management system to track and report on training compliance

Produce and maintain high-quality learning materials and resources

Mentor and guide colleagues at all levels to enhance skills, confidence and performance

Stay up-to-date with sector developments, qualifications and regulatory expectations

Promote and support a learning culture across all levels of the organisation

Contribute to service improvement initiatives and organisational projects as required

Actively participate in team and stakeholder meetings, contributing insight and professional guidance

Represent the Learning and Development team with professionalism, integrity, and respect



Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications Required



Required:



Previous experience in a learning and development or education role

Relevant L&D qualification (PTLLS or equivalent Level 3)

Experience in the health and social care sector

Full clean UK driving licence with access to own vehicle

Willingness and ability to travel to various sites, with occasional overnight stays

Ability to work both remotely and face-to-face across multiple locations

Satisfactory police check and safeguarding clearance



Desired:



Experience or qualification in elderly care

Two years' supervisory or management experience
